The newlyweds embracing, lying in a cloud of white tulle, by Cécile Humenny

Cécile Humenny · Weddings & elopements, from Toulouse to the whole world

Your day, the whole story.

And because you will be at the heart of that story, I will be there to watch all the rest of it.

Write my story The great moments Elopements

A wedding is a day surrounded by all the people who matter to you. A day you have imagined, prepared for and waited for. My eye wanders everywhere. I chase the smiles exchanged in a passing glance, the tender gestures, the bursts of laughter, the quiet tears and all those little instants that slip between the great moments of your day.

Two wedding rings resting on lichen-covered bark

Ethereal, fine art

The way I work

I look for the ethereal image, light and luminous, as if suspended: veils that breathe, a moment you would think had stepped out of a tale. Some call itethereal, or fine art.

  • I

    Ethereal

Light, luminous, almost unreal: images conceived like paintings, and retouched one by one to stand the test of time.

  • II

    Discreet

On the day, I melt into the background. You live your day; I watch over the rest, without ever interrupting you.

  • III

    Creative

I look for the angle no one expects: a train of tulle, a reflection, a staging idea dreamt up with you.

Write my story

The coverage tells the story of your day, from getting ready to the drinks reception. Each chapter has its own page; tick the ones you would like to add, and the price follows.

  1. Before the big day
  2. A wedding table: the menu and its napkin laid on a plate

    The preparatory conversation

A preparatory conversation to imagine your coverage together. I favour simple, sincere exchanges, to understand your day, what matters to you and the place you want photography to hold in it.

  3. A couple in pale linen, forehead to forehead, beneath tall trees

    The couple session

A moment just for the two of you, before you say yes. It is a chance to create images of you as a couple in a setting that feels like you, while getting to know my approach and the way I guide you. It can also be imagined as an engagement session, a few weeks or months before your wedding.

  4. The big daythe coverage, around 6 to 8 hours by your side
  5. Bride laughing out loud under her veil, hands raised

    Getting ready

The secret phase of the wedding, but also one of the most overlooked parts of the big day. And yet it is a precious moment for keepsake photos: make-up, hair, getting dressed (and the way your loved ones look at you), photos of your witnesses and/or bridesmaids.

  6. A bride under a pink veil, eyes raised

    The bride’s boudoir

An intimate 30-minute moment all your own, while you are getting ready, with 10 carefully retouched HD photographs.

  7. The groom waits with his back turned, his bride approaching behind him, in black and white

    The first look

The images speak for themselves. The first look is the moment you meet for the first time on your wedding day. It is an instant full of emotion, deeply intimate, and one I bring to the fore at your wedding.

  8. Exchange of rings, two hands in close-up

    Ceremonies

Secular, civil, religious… every ceremony deserves to be immortalised in the most beautiful way. This is the most solemn and formal part of the wedding, full of moments of strong emotion!

  9. The newlyweds embracing beneath a vault of golden stone

    Couple photos

A little escape during the day, to take photos of you while enjoying the venue and the euphoria, and also a chance to find each other again and share what you are feeling. Guided portraits, with discreet, natural direction.

  10. The bride and her witnesses in pink dresses, jumping for joy

    Group photos

Traditional or offbeat, posed or candid, group photos let you create scenes together, or simply keep a memory of all your guests for years to come.

  11. The newlyweds raise a toast among their guests

    The drinks reception

Your guests’ favourite moment! A chance to eat, drink, chat and laugh. For me, it is time to become very discreet, and steal those moments of togetherness and good cheer.

  12. The Red Carpet set, in a park: a dark backdrop, a tufted armchair, a large gilded frame and a spotlight

    The Red Carpet experience

A portrait for each of the characters in your story. During the drinks reception, I turn a corner of your venue into a real pop-up studio: individual portraits, in pairs or in small groups. Up to 2 hours on site, and a private online gallery your guests can access.

  13. Your day does not end at the drinks reception
  14. The bride seen from behind on the dance floor, in black and white

    The evening

Extend the coverage up to the first dance. I stay by your side to photograph the last highlights of your day: the dinner, the speeches, the entertainment, the first dance.

  15. Guests in front of the photo booth screen

    The Pause Photo booth

A wooden photo booth that I designed and built myself. Set up for guests to use freely, it lets them photograph themselves all through the evening, at their own pace, in a spontaneous, joyful atmosphere. An ideal solution if you would like party photos after I have left.

  16. And for afterwards?
  17. The newlyweds dancing in a ring of yellow smoke by the water, her dress in motion

    The Trash the Dress session

After the wedding, one last session for two, with no schedule and no guests: the dress can finally dare anything. The price depends on the destination and the place, from €300.

  18. The newlyweds, arm in arm, look at each other laughing, in the evening light

    The selection and the gallery

A carefully edited selection and a private online gallery, which you can share with your guests. You will also receive a quick preview within a week, to tide you over.

  19. The newlyweds embracing beneath a vault of golden stoneThe bride and her witnesses in pink dresses, jumping for joyThe newlyweds embracing, lying in a cloud of white tulle, by Cécile Humenny

    The album

Give your story a shape, because some photographs deserve better than a phone screen! Your album is designed around your images, printed on quality papers and bound in a cherrywood cover. A keepsake designed to tell your day in a different way, page after page.

    Your questions, my answers

How far in advance should we book?

I deliberately photograph a limited number of weddings each year, so that I keep time for each of my couples. It is best to book me 6 to 12 months in advance, especially for weddings in high season.

Do you ask for a deposit to book the date?

Yes, a 30% deposit is required to secure your wedding date in my diary. This guarantees that I am available for you. The balance is due one week before the wedding, or on the day itself at the latest.

Can we book the photo booth without booking the evening?

Yes, and it is a combination I particularly recommend if you would like me with you up to the drinks reception, and then to let your guests carry on photographing the party throughout the evening.

How many photos will we receive?

I do not set a predefined number of images. Every wedding is different, and I prefer to deliver a complete, coherent, carefully edited selection rather than arbitrarily choosing a number of images. I favour quality over quantity, so that every image is precious.

How will we receive our photos?

You will receive your photos in digital format through a private online gallery, which you can share with your guests. You can also have me make an album, to keep your images in a small keepsake that will stand the test of time.

How long do we have to wait for our photos?

Average delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks after your wedding. I take the time to retouch every photo to guarantee an impeccable result. You will also receive a quick preview within a week, to tide you over.

    Where do you travel?

I am based in Toulouse, and I will follow you anywhere: in Occitanie, elsewhere in France and all around the world, for your wedding or your elopement. Write and tell me your destination.

Can I meet you before booking?

Absolutely, and I would even say it is essential! I always offer a meeting (in person or by video call) to discuss your expectations, your plans and my services. It is also a chance to get to know each other better, so that you feel at ease on the big day.
